Questions, answered.

How playing, playtime, billing and your account work. Something missing? Check the status page or sign in and look at your dashboard.

Playing

What do I need to play?

The free Moonlight app on your device (Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, iOS, Apple TV and more), a controller or keyboard and mouse, and a solid internet connection. Wired or 5 GHz Wi-Fi works best.

Can I install my own games and apps?

Yes. It's your PC: sign in to your own Steam, Epic or other accounts and install anything. The apps you pick at setup are simply installed for you on first boot.

Do games with anti-cheat work?

Most do. Games using Easy Anti-Cheat and BattlEye generally work on cloud PCs. Riot Vanguard (Valorant) is unreliable on virtual machines, so don't count on it.

Is the GPU shared with other players?

No. Every PC gets a dedicated NVIDIA GPU that's never shared with anyone else while you play.

Are my games and files kept?

Yes. Games, saves and settings stay on your PC's disk between sessions (150 GB on Budget, 250 GB on Premium), just like a PC at home.

Playtime

How does playtime work?

Your plan adds hours every day at midnight in your time zone. Unused hours bank up to a maximum (6h on Budget, 8h on Premium), which is also the most you can play in one day without hour packs. Only the minutes your PC is on and ready count, and the last partial minute of a session is free.

What if I run out of hours?

You get warnings at 30, 10 and 2 minutes left, then a 60-second countdown and a clean shutdown. Buy an hour pack any time to keep playing.

How do hour packs work?

Packs add extra hours on top of your bank and stay valid for 90 days. Your bank is used first, then pack hours.

What if I forget to turn it off?

Your PC shuts down by itself after 15 minutes with nobody connected, so it doesn't eat your hours. You'll see a "Still playing?" prompt first.

What happens during an outage?

If our cloud provider has an outage, your clock freezes, sessions it cut off are refunded automatically and pack hours won't expire in the meantime. You can follow it on the status page.

Plans & billing

How do I pay?

By card, billed monthly through Stripe. We never see or store your card details. Prices include VAT.

Can I switch plans?

Upgrading to Premium applies right away (you pay the prorated difference). Switching to Budget happens at your next renewal and builds a new PC with a smaller disk, so games and files aren't carried over.

Can I cancel?

Anytime, from the billing page. You keep playing until the end of the month you paid for. Your disk is kept for 14 days after that, in case you come back.

Account

Why are there no passwords?

Passwords get reused and leaked. You sign in with a one-time code sent to your email, or with Google or GitHub using the same email address.

Can I delete my account?

Yes, from account settings once your plan has ended. It deletes your cloud PC with everything on it and removes your personal details. Invoices are kept by Stripe for tax records.
